Olivia Backhaus is an Associate Attorney at Sequel Health Law PLLC. Ms. Backhaus conducts legislative and regulatory research and analysis, and counsels Sequel’s clients in matters of health and drug law and policy. Before joining Sequel, she worked in federal food, cosmetic and chemical law, where she gained practical experience in policy advocacy and legislative research and strategy. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, she interned at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Sewanee: The University of the South.
