Mr. McClughen provides research, analysis, and strategic insight to Sequel’s clients on matters of health care and business law and policy. He advises health care practitioners, addiction treatment programs, recovery residences, and clinical laboratories on transactional matters; marketing and lead generation; drug testing; controlled substance prescribing; and compliance with federal and state laws, including anti-kickback, patient brokering, physician self-referral, and patient privacy laws.
Mr. McClughen also advises local businesses on transactional matters, including contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
Mr. McClughen received his juris doctor from George Mason University School of Law with a concentration in corporate law. During law school, he completed internships with the U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General and District of Columbia Public Schools Office of General Council. He also clerked with the Daniel Law Office in Elmhurst, Illinois, a general practice focused on land-use and zoning. Mr. McClughen received his Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
